Royal Batteries

Royal batteries provide a comprehensive product warranty on all their products. All their batteries designed with Calcium alloy grids and plates to minimise corrosion. The Envelope between the separators and the battery plates is there to eliminate internal short circuits.

A central venting system added to regulate the gassing of the battery during charge stage. A gas safety device and a high impact strength container finalise this quality of the Royal batteries. The batteries fitted with a with a built in charge Indicator. This indicates the charge current, Green indicate the battery charged status. Black indicates the voltage of the battery needs charge. White means low electrolyte, battery life expanded.

Royal Batteries – Terms and ratings

Hot cranking amperes:

Hot cranking amperes refers to the amount of current the battery can deliver at 26.7 °C. The rating defines as the current in the battery at the temperature. The load need to deliver the cracking amperes for 30 seconds and current must be maintain at 1.2 volts per cell.

Reserve capacity minutes:

Reserve capacity minutes refer to the minimum current the battery must constant deliver 25 amperes before its voltage drops below 10.5 volts. If the volts drop below 10.5 volts during the reserve capacity the battery needs  charging. When a battery drops below 10.5 volts it indicates on damaged battery plates.

An added benefit from buying your Royal Batteries from BHG Power is that we offer you a Lead Rebate on all your old batteries. We disposed of your old batteries through Smelter that holds ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001. We recycle the batteries and provide you with a disposal certificate.  Avoid legal implications to your company in the event the third-party contractor does not comply with the law.

All batteries collected by BHG Power Storage Solutions and recycled as part of the Government promulgated Environmental Health and Safety Act. The onus to dispose of these batteries becomes BHG Power’s responsibility. A Certificate of Recycling will avoid future legal implications to the company in the event the third-party contractor does not comply with the law. Without such a certificate, and as the owner and user of the battery, the Government can pursue several different against individuals or the company.

BHG Power registered by South Africa’s largest smelter, in terms of section 23 of the Atmospheric Pollution Prevention Act – 1965 for lead processes. The smelter also holds ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 Certifications and Accreditations for their Integrated Management System.
